1. 01After immigration and customs, regroup and check every traveller, checked bag and stroller. Report missing or damaged baggage to the airline before leaving the restricted area.
2. 02In the first-floor arrivals lobby, display the hotel’s exact name, full Japanese address including postcode, nearest station and exit, and check-in time. Match the address when hotel names look similar.
3. 03For a direct bus, recheck the day’s destination and stop on the official page. Current guidance uses stops 6 and 7 for Hakata-bound services and stop 8 for Tenjin-bound services; confirm the vehicle display as operators can use different stops.
4. 04For the subway, board the free shuttle at stop 5. Get off at the Domestic Passenger Terminal/South stop and continue to subway entrances 1A or 1B. Road traffic can delay the shuttle.
5. 05Do not treat station arrival as the finish. Check the exit, lift and covered route from the ticket gate to the hotel entrance. With several bags, compare a short taxi ride for the final section.
6. 06Use the official first-floor taxi stand at the international terminal. Metered totals vary with distance, slow traffic, waiting time and late-night surcharges; check the posted fare information before travel.
7. 07After reaching the hotel, confirm the next morning’s breakfast venue, start time, child pricing and non-guest rules with the hotel. A room booking does not automatically guarantee a restaurant seat.

Hakata Port International Terminal｜6 steps after disembarkation

1. 01After immigration and customs, regroup with every bag in the arrivals lobby. Build in time between the vessel’s arrival and the moment you can actually leave the terminal.
2. 02For a hotel near Hakata Station, compare bus 88 or BRT. For Tenjin, compare bus 80 or BRT. Check the stop name, direction display and same-day timetable.
3. 03Fukuoka City gives about 20 minutes as a guide from Hakata Station or Tenjin to the terminal. Traffic can also extend the reverse journey, so protect check-in and reservation deadlines.
4. 04BRT and local-bus fares vary by section. Check the adult and child fare in Nishitetsu’s official route search before boarding and follow the vehicle display for cash payment.
5. 05Compare a taxi when the final walk is long, it is raining, or you have a baby or large bags. Follow terminal signs to the official rank and avoid unofficial solicitation.
6. 06For last services, event traffic controls, severe weather or ferry delays, do not rely on a fixed route. Check live operator information and tell the hotel your revised arrival time.
